EPU: Stimulus Package Set To Boost Growth By 3.5 Percent In 2009
The RM7 billion stimulus package is expected to boost the country's growth by 3.5 percent in 2009, said Economic Planning Unit (EPU) director-general, Tan Sri Sulaiman Mahbob. He said if not for the package, the country would only record 2.5 percent growth. Sulaiman said Malaysia could not escape the effects of the global financial crisis and the government would watch the situation closely and take the necessary measures if the situation worsened. Professional services, logistics part of liberalisation
