Toyota plans RM1b Islamic bond issue
TOYOTA Motor Corporation plans to sell RM1 billion of Islamic bonds and use the funds for capital requirements and financing customers' purchase of Toyota cars. This will be the first time the group will be issuing Islamic bonds.  [Business Times]

Proton unit may supply parts to Spyker
PROTON Holdings Bhd via its unit, Lotus Cars Ltd, will likely provide engineering services and supply certain parts and components to Dutch sports car manufacturer Spyker.In a statement to Bursa Malaysia, Proton said its memorandum of understanding with Spyker is neither intended to operate as a partnership nor a joint venture and neither party shall have the authority to bind the other.
